Beta: Suggestion Discussion - Cult of Verore.

Suggestions for any cards in this faction:

Will update the list as it goes.


Hellmouth (or)
- changed to Purity 3.
- random spawn of demonling

Sorceress' Pet     11 - (WWKNight)
Character - Dragon
Flying
Pay 4 and Exhaust: Destroy target creature with power less than ~ power.  ~ gains +1/+1.
Whenever ~ deals damage to an opponents fortress, destroy all other creatures on the battlefield.
3/3

Demon of Gluttony - (Koey)

- lose flying, gain unstoppable
- change to 6/6

Choose one of:
1)  {
can sacrifice multiple units with cost of 1. Gain 3/3 for first creature, 2/2 second creature, 1/1 for each creatures onwards.
}
2) {
- when DoG kills something add the opponents cost to DoG's health.
}

Hellmouth spawns 4/4 fliers for 6.  Or hell, take advantage of the digital age and lets spawn different demons at random.  4/4 flier, or maybe 6/6 unstoppable?  Maybe a 1/1 indestructible?  I wanna see demons of different shapes and sizes.

Wait, they reduced what the Hellmouth produces?  If it's just 4/4 fliers that's insane.  Last I saw it was 7/7.  Which is fine for what it is.

And Hellmouth does not need purity 3.  MAYBE 2.  But it doesn't need that much exclusion.

Beyond this I think the Cult is pretty good.

Although I wouldn't mind seeing the Brute tweaked to get his bonuses every time your opponent kills/damages one of your one creatures, not just a unique.

I'll trade ya mine.  Especially if they dont get changed to something a little less faceroll.  Was my favourite card in Alpha, but I was expecting a nerf hammer to hit it hard.  Now I just think its cheap.

Feels closer to a demon that constantly eats. And not all demons need to fly.

"Only one character without flying may attack you each turn."
If the intent is flyers may still attack normal, I would suggest a wording change as this sounds like flyers may not attack.

I agree. Change to "Only characters with flying and one character without flying may attack you each turn."

Also...this is exactly what "Great Wall" should do, not Veroria, the Lone Keep. I could see Veroria doing something like "Pay 4: Exhaust; Deal 1 damage to all characters".
Fact - 42.3% of all statistics are made up on the spot.

Verore actually needs the delay and I can't tell you how many times it won me games.

Only thing I wished was it had an ability like pay X to destroy itself. Not necessary but would be nice.

I would rather see Great Wall has the massive feature that allows them to block air units.

Another card idea.

Name: Foresee (or scrying or something similar)
Cost: 4
Purity: 1
Type: spell
Effect:  When this card is played, you get an additional main phase (the phase that allows you to play cards, I'm using mtg terms, sorry) after the current main phase.

My intention with this card is that you play it to see what your opponent does before you play your cards.

Or the card could wait until your opponent finishes his main phase, then show you what it is and go back to the beginning of that main phase, but with your opponent's turn locked in already.  That way, initiative wouldn't have to be given up if this card is played.

This card could also be factionless.

Cards where you can see other peoples action has been suggested before. I think the main reason it does not fit is because it sort of goes against the whole simultaneous turn element. Cause the whole point of that is playing mind games with your opponent on what they can do.
For mobile platform this extra action before a turn completes could also lengthen out the game unnecessarily.

I agree with Koey about the Demon of Gluttony, it should lose its flying capability.

I also think that 'Mass Death' should be either removed or toned down as it feels a little over-powered.
