Heh. You know, when I entered the card competition before this one, I didn't even realise what I was getting into. I didn't read the OP fully, didn't realise there were responsibilities for the winner, didn't even realise there were prizes (it wasn't until I came back to the forum today that I realised where those boosters I'd inexplicably received had come from). I just saw "card design competition, cool!", read the card criteria and made up a card. Lucky thing I only got second.

Anyone tried getting in touch with Bubba1234 in game or through Steam?

Bubba1234 contacted me a week ago saying that he didn't deserve the prize and wanted to forfeit it onto someone else. I'm assuming he thought I was the CM, so I forwarded that info to Drew. That's the last I've heard of this.

Well, makes the most sense if Hiding takes over as 2nd place.

Also, I would like to suggest to raise the price for first place. Maybe double it. Pay 1/2 of it guranteed for the win, and the 2nd half after the person did decently host their challenge according to the rules (judged all entries, and so on).

If the 1st person doesnt want to host the challenge, his substitute gets at least the reward for hosting a challenge. If the winner doesnt want to host the challenge, the right goes to the 2nd ranked by default, then the 3rd ranked and finally if none of the winners wants to, the CM can pick a volunteer.

Right now hosting a challenge is much more work than participating in one, and goes largely unrewarded (which may partly contributes to rather unmotivated judges).

Just to be clear: I thought I deserved to win. But I was offended by the fact that the judge bent over backward to insult my design and make it clear that I won by default as the least awful entry. Just thought that was uncalled for. I forfeited because I have quit the game due to frustration over the matchmaking system.

That was uncalled for, but if it means anything to you, the Judge's idea of great design sucks in my opinion, so try not to take it to heart. Quitting the game over the matchmaking system is a reasonable excuse.
