Imba Mode
« on: September 05, 2014, 09:14:37 AM »
So, I've been think of cool modes n ways to make the game more interesting, this one came to my head when I was playing Dota last night.
Imba stands for imbalance, and it's a just for fun mode, like Infinity, Pauper, Merged and Hyper(which is now gone).

This is how the mode works:

All card's purity decrease by 1. (all 1 purity becomes factionless, but it'll still have it's faction type)
Hybrids and dual factions remains the same.

I know this will turn out to have many interesting combos, but it's just for fun, tell me what u guys think.

To clarify,

Hyper and Epic aren't "Gone", they're going to be re-implemented in a future feature for rotating "fun" modes once it makes sense for us to be working on things like that.

However, this is what I would consider a fun mode. Being able to pull off decks and combinations that are otherwise designed not to exist. That's entertaining to me.
No seriously, I really like cheese.

why not just make purity not exist for this mode? you would be able to come up with insane combos. Or make it so you can only have 1 of any card in your deck if purity is removed for this mode

Time to play -tHeGaMe-

1) Make all cards Factionless.
2) Remove Unique from all cards.
3) Make all cards Unlimited.

^^Now that would be the ultimate IMBAlance  :D

I'd love to see a deck made in this format that could have potential for like, a 3rd or 4th round kill (wouldn't want to play against it, but ya know, would be fun to see).

So it's like an Enyah build, with more flexibility and without Enyah. And with Enyah, all double Purity cards would be accessible. I like this. :D

Although to be honest, we need to keep certain rules intact while breaking the rest. If you could do almost everything, then there would be no challenge, and it practically boils down to who can break the rules towards their favour more.

Total agree, that why I did not suggest remove all purity, it is more fun to break some rules but not all of them.

So, how would hybrid cards work under this imba mode? What about mercenaries?
