Search vs. Host
« on: December 08, 2013, 06:10:59 AM »
The edges of the game are cut off when I play, but the leftmost button seems to read "Search," while the next one reads "Host." Apparently the games in the center pane are hosted. What are the defining attributes of the Search and Host options?

I did a few searches; sorry if this is redundant.

Before someone starts to answer you, could you please take a screenshot of the problem you're facing and e-mail Support@lightmare.com.au with that image and the resolution you play in so that we know to fix it?
No seriously, I really like cheese.

Sent. Thanks for the follow-up.

Naturally, I'm still looking for info on my main question--the difference between Search and Host.

Host means to open a game so other can join.
Search means to join a game that another player hosts.

Also, even if you do use search, if it doesn't find a game by a specified amount of time, it will start hosting and periodically go back to searching for a bit. Search seems to be the better choice for finding a game at the moment, but host is useful if you are coordinating with someone to join your game, for instance to help an apprentice with a merged/epic/pauper/tournament/singleton/mixture of the previous match since it defaults to standard matches when you invite through friends/apprentice/master list.
Just so you guys know, if you're ever vs WWK, just start putting out random numbers and mathematical symbols, he will surrender.
