To be honest, Hubris of The Strong and Demonize still annoy the crap out of me. I play GI, so Death Ray/Assasinate/Etc are one thing.. but general cheap tranform cards that just easily sh*t on all my hard-earned buffs/shields+shield generator/mecha dragon/etc are completely another and annoy me greatly. Not even talking about MU decks.

Just saying.

General Game Discussion / Re: Regional Russian server for Infinity Wars

Wait what?? Im russian and this would kill the game for me, i made so many friends among international IW community and i enjoy playing with them a lot. Being locked only to russians would be terrible. Lets just take it with a grain of salt and hope its nothing but just a rumor. Im all hands for localisation and support of russian PR, but please, no forced move to russian-only server.

I wonder, whats Lightmare stance on this? Thats pretty hefty part of community that will be separated from the main player pool if that happens.

When our Moose recovers from hangover after epic holiday celebrations  :D

Wow, i didnt think this was possible either, i thought a swarm of blind fans and blizzard fanboys will overthrow anything. Seems like i was proven wrong, fingers crossed for IW winning!  :D

Annihilate also recieved a text change. It used to read like 'Destroy target card in play'. Now it reads:

Destroy target Character, Location or Artifact.

Guessing this is just to clarify it does not work on Mission cards.

Guess it's text "Nothing lasts forever" isnt really true either now  :D

And I'm supposed to waste resources killing my own thralls to proc their ability? Thats not early game. Thats not early game at all

I fought a deck just recently with non-order Rita and 2 Thralls in command. With that you are guaranteed to have a 10/10 on turn 2 and another one on turn 3 + any more you draw in hand. Dont forget her ability doesnt cost resources.  Or just play any abilities that involve sacrifice(not remove from play though). Exactly as fast as infected drones, as i said.

I just want Verore to have an early game card with a bit of bite to it. Thats all I want. Right now the faction is seriously focused on 5-6+ cost cards. Our one drop (Master of Demons) fuels a highly specific deck type, where nearly all the other one drops do something else effective for the faction they're in, for all their deck types.

For those looking at early game CoV, I suggest playing around with that new Thrall. Those 10/10s can be potent and surprisingly efficient when played right.

Was about to mention it myself. Those new Thralls let you deploy 10/10's literally exactly as fast as GI deploys infected drones. Only with Thralls you can play a clever trick of placing them untransformed into assault and then playing mass death. Guaranteed heavy damage.

I have to agree with Grin, the primary concern with TA was that her blasts completely puffied up GI. Reverting her back to how she was, but turning her blasts into 4 damage only(without bonus 8 damage to GI) seems like a good solution. Only blasts given by her, not usual separate lighting blast.

Sucks that Cottontail wasnt changed, as its ability is still really useless(check this thread, but other than it, really well called and much needed changes on other cards! I really like how you handled defensive perimeter and orion's grave, turning them from completely useless cards to something i will surely use in my pure genesis deck now. Shows that you guys listen, great work!

I'd personally be fine with him being able to target any deployed character instead of ones on the battlefield.  Pure Genesis tends to have trouble targeting the support zone in my experience.
I hate when I face something annoying that I know would die instantly to CoV or DoD.

Agreed. Other than factionless assasinate and called shot, pure 3P GI has absolutely no ways to interact with opponent's support/command zone. Only CTA, which is awesome by itself, but not much it can do to take care of the treat sitting in support/command for long, at least in most cases. Cottontail staying as it is BUT also being able to target both command/support OR at least support would fix it in my opinion.

Makes sence by Lore too. By the look and name we can imply that this robot is very agile, being able to hop over the enemy lines and deal damage behind the battlefield, and then quickly hop back.

They are quite the conundrum I would actually label them as Lawful Evil because they follow the laws that benefit them only. The only reason they want to keep humans alive is for their own benefit and there was nothing chaotic about what they did, while brutally destructive it had to be done to eradicate the sleepers once and for all. They also seem to have a structured hierarchy where the strongest are at the top. Similar to FD. Hmph makes ya think.

Hmm, yeah, you're right, this actually sounds better if you put it that way  :P

I would say FD is Lawful evil. It has been stated in the Lore that FD society lives on war. Without war, their society would fall, so FD will always be looking for war with anyone whenever there is an opportunity, so any rational and peacefull coexistance is imppossible. They, of course, wont burn down and slaughter a defenceless village(provided they surrender), but the moment they see anything big and capable of putting a fight, they charge.

I would say that GI is neutral good. Nowhere its said that GI is a corporate capitalistic world. I would say(as my opinion) thats its even other way around, that GI is built on communism of some sort, where all manufacturing is government-controlled, and every citizen(lore fact) is called a citizen-employee. A corporate CEO wouldnt be called so, so we can assume independent CEOs dont exist.  We can see that Orion is(was...  RIP)  trying to do whatever is best for his people, including trying to cure Virus of Avvarach. However we also saw him sending armies to WP world just to mine resources, so that doesnt make him good-good.

OS are a difficult image. In their own eyes they are lawfull good, but in reality they are chaotic good. They are ready to conduct mass genocide(WP campaign) and destroy a city full of civilians and kill their leader(ending of OS campaign)  just because he took a sample of virus to get a cure. They will do anything, including the worst and most violent things just so their own image of "order" is kept.

GI decks and can still win, if it is pure GI your going be screwed with the combo's you have mentioned and the easy access to gaining Lightening blast which deals with most GI cards. Some of the other GI cards from order are ok Mechanize is useful and can combo with EMP but you will have a turn delay and it will only get a max of 3 character killed depending on the order.

Overall order to me seems to really give FD a huge boost in power for the time being as we don't know if any FD cards will get changed.

Dont get me wrong, im not saying GI is weak and cant win against anything of course (GI STROOONK *cue remove kebab song)

Im just saying that GI lost some of its advantages that it had over some decks while not really getting any new advantage itself. Slight bonus cards, sure, but nothing advantegous, comparing to other factions and their great Order bonuses.

If Cottontail and Defensive Perimeter get seriously buffed, then my statement wont be revelant anymore. For Perimeter, something like "free 2 or 3 damage to all characters who attacked your fortress this turn" like Anti-Aircraft array would be perfect(can up its cost to 5 too), but its just my opinion.

Well tbh, GI have already enough tools in their box. I think there is no need to majorly buff their cards, other factions *cough* DoD *cough* need it more desperately. But I do agree on defensive perimeter, that card has so little use it's not even funny. (4 cost deployment, deal once 6 damage to something only in the assault zone for 3? what?)

Its not that GI didnt get good cards, its that other factions got plenty of much more awesome cards and are on par with GI now in plenty of areas. With Thralls, Verore can now get 10/10's exactly as fast as GI with infected drones. Only with Thralls you can place them in assault untransformed and then use mass death, which is incredibly powerfull comparing to one of GI's key advantages - Infected Drones, as i said.

FD now pretty much instantly wins against GI, both because it can easily outmatch the stall of omnitron deck and outplay any regular GI deck due to blocks to cannon cards and above-mentioned bunnybot/defensive perimeter, even if they were at least slightly useful. Exiles were already powerfull thanks to removal/transform abilities that bypass shield. WP has big advantage too thanks to plenty of anti-artifact options(Just comparing, its perfectly fine for WP to have them), and now have a big card to get rid of scouting drones

I agree that DoD needed more cards though, hope they will get more support in the future too.

I honestly think he is simply totally useless. 4 damage on a single character on the battlefield for 3 cost? Pardon me, but its nothing but laughable. And without counting his ability, his cost is too high to use him just as a beefy unit. Same with new Defence Perimeter, too low damage for too high cost(+deployment cost).

Even if it gets changed to 2 cost, you're much MUUCH better off just including in your deck and using Cannon fire/Laser cannon abilities, almost double cost efficiency on those, if not more.

I dearly hope lightmare will fix this. Other than few cards like omnimind(even which is broken), spy, researcher and maybe mechanize, i honestly feel like GI got a bit puffied with this update.
