I honestly don't care much about the star trek thing in IW. When it comes down to TCG for me, its all about the card/gameplay itself, and as long as those promo factions are not op, and illegal in rank/draft I'm fine with it. If anything, I'm just guessing the star trek cards are just a side thing that exist in the game just for fun and probably have nothing to do with IW main storyline. It's just a filler set just for ppl, if they're bore they can mess around with in normal unranked games during the 3-4 month period before the "real" set, Ascension comes out.

Also I don't know much about licensing, but i doubt lightmare would spend any money, or at least spend very little money to get the license to star trek, just cause I assume their budget is tight being a small indie company. I also don't believe IW will be a sellout game, that leech off other franchise to the point where IW is no longer IW because I believe the developers(lightmare) is too passionate about their game to ever crucially change it to something it's not. Just my 2 cent and own personal thoughts on the matter.

I don't think IW will have a hearthstone growth spurt at launch but I think it can be the biggest game on steam especially if that MMDoC line keeps going down. I do agree with what you say about it having a lot of potential with features and gameplay nobody else has to become one of the big competitors.

I gotta agree with Coolcor here. while IW in my opinion is by far and without a doubt the best dtcg in terms of strategic depth, creativity, fluid gameplays and visuals, however,  HS will still be the more "popular" game even though IW is the "better" game because HS target a much more broader audience of casual gamers. I do believe IW will be a successful game, but in its own way with a player base of tcg enthusiast, adept strategy gamer and primarily gamers who loves to be challenged and experiences something out of their comfort zone.  Overall, I really do want IW to be the number 1 dtcg, and I hope that steam release will give IW the recognition it deserves because the amount of passion and work put into this game by such a small but humble indie gaming company is awe-inspiring.

Looks like Hunt is more useful now since it can target untouchable according to latest patch 0.88.5

another Thing i like is, that matches dont take Ages (but games can still have a high complexity). tried scrolls before and games tend to go for min 20 min.

Agree. A majority of game in IW don't take too long, and the simultaneous turn mechanic give the game a fast pace sensation which is pretty rare in the TCG genre. However, there are occasion in control vs. control setup, with matches that can indeed be drawn out to the point of waiting for either one of the player to deck out. Good news is with cards in the coming expansion these long match scenario will be a thing of the past hopefully.

Never fear! I know there haven't been many updates with this, but we've got something very cool lined up. It may involve pushing the dates back a little bit but it will be so awesome that it'll be far more than worth it.

Hoping to have an update on it soon!

Always good to take your time. I rather have a delay tourney that run smoothly, than a rush up chaotic one.

There's that, Infectious Zombie, Patient Zero, Aletas coming from discard with another in play, and... never mind. Well I guess Kidnapper would work too (Kidnap your own unique then get rid of him).

Not to mention Raise the Dead as well.

I'm glad that DoD cards now have proper names (and awesome name as well), but I feel like it will take me awhile for those new names to sink in. The names sage 1, sage 2 and etc have gotten their hook deep inside my head. Guess it will just take some time to get use too.

Can't you use Fight on characters in your support/combat zone too? An example in the last game I had:

My opponent uses Fight on his Pack Leader and targets my SC. 5 turns later I draw another one, and he uses another Fight with his One of Many to target that SC.

From my 3 weeks of playtime experience, I don't think I've seen anyone running a Warpath deck without a Packleader in a commander slot.

EDIT: I can't wait till there are some counters to the many removal cards in the game. Almost makes it impossible to play GI against an experienced player.
One of the reason why GI is probably being the most difficult to play, being that the faction right now is center around SC, but I'm sure in due time once the next expansion comes, there will be more to GI then just SC and more counters against removable.

As for Fight! I can definitely agree that its an incredibly strong card, but it play well with the WP theme and the cheap cost allow WP to have some early denial to stall till the mid game which is where WP really starts to become overwhelming. This is why I agree with Zinqf that it should be at least 2 purity possibly 3.

Hmm, why can't there just be a cheap initiative cost to play draft and then players can have an option to pay the extra fee by the end of draft if they want to keep the cards they got? I'm also fine if the winner get a cheaper fee to keep their cards, but they should at least get to choose 1 card (no legendary) to keep for free even if they cannot or don't want to pay off that cheaper option to keep all their cards.

Yea commander card are still return back to commander zone  instead of support.
