General Game Discussion / Alt art cards and Premium types
« on: October 29, 2016, 12:36:04 AM »
Hi there! I was just hoping to suggest that the first time you offer certain alt arts you make them Premium of some sort: Platinum or Infinity would be great especially for the ones you purchase through DLC.

As it is, I have to choose between say my Plat Yagron or the Alt Art one, I love the alt art, but I also love premium borders (especially on token generators.

This would also be great for the alt art packs, if you make them plat (just that alt art card) it makes people less likely to complain if you offer that one again in normal later, and makes them want to purchase those a bit more to begin with.

Just something I've been thinking about for a while

Hi all, I was thinking today that it would be nice to have an option in the deckbuilder (Or trading Really) to search by copies owned, it could be just like the cost and morale ones that you can have less than/greater than sort of thing.
This would help narrow down playsets or cards you need, and also cards you have none of.

Additionally it would be really nice to have as an additional search keyword of alt art (or something like that) in a similar way to Waifu, as more alt art is coming out, it would be nice to see them easily.

Also, while I'm here, it would be nice to have the option back to get altarts again in uncontrolled rifts, now that we have the capacity to view every card in the deckbuilder, it doesn't hide any information not having them in, The altarts were the best thing about Uncontrolled Rift decks for me. (I also still got the Demon of Fear Alt called Consecration from a rift recently so they one is still hanging around anyway)

General Game Discussion / Test side crashing upon login.
« on: June 10, 2016, 03:55:42 AM »
Hi there, just letting you know my client is crashing anytime I try and login onto test.

I think it's trying to load everything in my collection and all decklists at once, and giving me a memory crash.

I know my computer is a bit on the older side, but I've been running IW fine, and it would really suck not being able to play it at home.

Not sure if it's part of the changes making login quicker, or what it is, but thought I'd pass it on, sent in one of the crashlogs to support.

I have logged into test before, and very soon it crashed when I started looking at the shop or my card collection.

Suggestions / Pack opening clarification suggestions
« on: March 02, 2016, 02:59:55 PM »
Hi, when I opened up the 500 penta packs in the last few days, (and also during the last pre-order or two) I had noticed some things with the pack opening screen that I think could do with a change.

Only after opening 400 packs, did I finally get to know the difference between Gold, Legend, And Epic glows, And I know I'll forget the difference next time I do a large pack opening.
In the old opening method, I know Epic was a purple glow, and That was much more noticeably different, I do like the one for that we have now, I do think that the glow for Legendary could do with more work, either a colour change, or a redesign, as it is too hard to tell the difference, so many times I thought I found a legend only to discover it was a gold common or something.

one thing I only found out in the last few days was that the gold and Foil aura's only show up on Common and Uncommon cards, so if you're looking for Rare + premiums, you need to show them to find out, and that can be quite hard to notice if it's a foil.

My suggestion:
Firstly change either Legend or Epic to distinguish them a bit more, and also possibly make an overlay for Foil and Gold cards that sit over the card instead of below it, that way you can show if it's a gold rare at the same time, as Gold's and Foils should always be something to be excited about.

I've attatched a couple of knock-up ideas to show the sort of thing I've got in my head.

let me know what you think.

General Game Discussion / Pax Australia 2015
« on: August 29, 2015, 12:56:39 AM »
HI all! I was wondering if Lightmare will be making a presence at the Pax Australia 2015?

I know you went to the 2013, and if you're going, I'd be very interested.

Hi all, I didn't want to clutter the patch notes thread with this. I've put it here, instead of the factionless mainly for visibility, and I imagine it'll be fixed shortly, so it won't matter for too long.

OK, I've done some testing with this combo, and found it exceptionally powerful, to those that might not know, with this current patch, while you have a Martyr Golem and a Noble Protector in the same zone, they'll reduce all combat and non-combat damage done to any of your characters to zero, with nothing taking the damage.
So for example, if you have both in support zone, and a flying character in defense, it will block every attacking creature without taking any damage, and neither will the Golem.

As far as I can tell, this is because the Martyr Golem transforms all damage done to any character to non-combat damage and then redirects it to himself, which the Noble makes zero damage if he's in the same zone.

There are very few ways around this combo, the main ones being kill spells. so Assassinate or Called shot would be the best ones to take down part of the combo, most other spells can't hit them if they are both in support. The other way would be to seperate them, so word of command, stumble or ferocity for example could help here. But keep in mind that neither of these are unique creatures, so what do you do if they have 2 martyr's and 2 Nobles out?

Now for the constructive part, the main problem here is that the Golem changes all damage into non-combat damage, if it could be coded so that he remembers if it was combat or non-combat damage, I think everything would be fine, it would then be a great combo for getting around AOE, but it wouldn't stop any combat damage hurting or killing the Martyr.

Really happy with how these turned out.

Fan-Art & Fan-Fiction / Swarmer Painting
« on: May 25, 2015, 02:39:54 PM »
This is a swarmer painting I've done.

For those new to the game, this is based off the way that swarmers originally worked in-game.
Each swarmer had a feature unique to it (example was Artificial swarmer has bottom-right leg) and when you played a different swarmer, it updated all the swarmers with that attribute, showing them all evolving to take on that power. This was a brilliant idea, except as it did the image to all the swarmers (even those in deck), and as it layered images, it started taking huge amounts of memory and crashed clients quite often.

I believe this is why when they released Order I believe, that feature was removed, and they were normal cards. This prompted me on the idea of making this, that had the last piece (Ascending) so I could see them all together.

Sorry for the prattling, hope you guys and gals like it!

Edit: here's a animation of my in-progress shots for those that may find it interesting

Fan-Art & Fan-Fiction / Order Nailpolish by Nehkrimah
« on: November 26, 2014, 11:49:37 AM »
Hi all! Thought I'd share my new nailpolish ready for the Order Stream.

It's hand-painted by myself on me, I've chosen to go with cardbacks and the Order logo from the pre-order boosters, quite happy with how it went. Feel free to ask any questions.

General Game Discussion / Bulk Purchasing Packs now active
« on: October 31, 2014, 01:42:22 PM »
Hi all, just thought I'd let you know that you can buy packs in multiples now.

I went to buy a pack and it prompted how many I wanted to buy, then put them into my inventory.

Thanks to Lightmare for adding this option for us.

General Game Discussion / Pax Melbourne 2014
« on: September 11, 2014, 01:35:15 PM »
Hi, sorry if this is the wrong place to ask this, but I wasn't sure where it would be best.

I was wondering if Lightmare was going to Pax, and if so which days and what was going to happen. I haven't been to Pax before, but I'd like to if you'll be there.
Apparently they're selling out now, before they even announce what's happening there.

General Discussion / Apparition oddities
« on: June 16, 2014, 05:19:27 AM »
Thought I'd list some of the oddities I've found with Apparition so far.

When you Appariton a Verore hydra, they gain stats, might be equal to the damage the original hydra has on it. (I copied a 24/14 hydra and it became a 34/24 at end of round)

Copying a Vasir, the Chained Prince: The copy is unchained.

Copying a Agent Coyle, Soulseller: Wasn't getting the +1/-1 each turn.

Feel free to list anything you've found as well.

Suggestions / Battlegrounds and Card backs for decks
« on: June 15, 2014, 12:11:48 AM »
With the release of battlegrounds for most factions, and Card backs as well, I think it would be awesome if you could assign specific Battleground and Cardback in the deckmaker.

If you have nothing assaigned to a deck, it could use the derfaults in your profile.

This way you could be qued for a Triple Exile Deck (With Exile Battleground) in Infinite, and a Veroria Deck (With Veroria Battleground and Card Back) for Core at the same time.
