Still waiting.

Finally grabbed that elusive 12 win key(Lightforge Key). It took around2 months of casual play. The new meta made my previous priest draft bad, so I turned to mage and druid. Took a while to find a drafting strategy that could deliver the wins, but mage eventually pulled through. Did not grab a capture of my decklist, but I only had 1 epic and no legends. My 2 loss actually came from not having any silence or poly, go figure (puffy you paladin).

Also, that rank reset is pretty lame. I did not even notice that my rank 10 was gone until I checked out my profile. What a waste of time to go for rank1 or even the golden ranks above that. There do not seem to be any rewards attached to it now either.

Now that hearthstone has been beaten (again), I might come back to IW. :)
Pretty far behind on changes to IW though, might wait until new set is out or something. I have not even tried rift runs yet, so I am pretty excited for that when I get some time for it.

Deck Building / Re: TEC is looking for Deckbuilder Guru
« on: November 13, 2013, 07:17:49 AM »
I would advise you to not focus on any advanced/competative deck building guide as it will become useless quite fast; however, a low/medium level guide would very helpful to new players. Here is why.

Current meta can change every week depending on big patches, this is a beta after all. Not to mention the new factions that will constantly be released. Another problem is that half of the game is knowing every card in the game,  every single one. Knowing every possible move your opponent can make seems a bit overpowered right? This is true for every game, but the effect has a larger effect in IW due to the way your turn resolves. You can know that easily by remembering what purity your opponent is using and keeping an eye on their current resource cap. Without knowing this you play the entire game blindfolded. This is not like other card games, there is much less reaction and much more prediction. Recognizing deck types and strategies also adds to the complexity.

Currently I do not have an upload good enough to stream my screen to you, but you should be able to find someone to help you.

I would be happy to help out and im sure theres plenty of other experienced players or even members of the development team who would help out.

They play their game much less than you would think. The last time I played vs the dev team I had to use my less powerful decks so I would not crush and make them feel bad. And that's coming from someone who did not even get top 4 in the last big tourney I was in.

use this without the .

Sounds kinda nice. A simple button for "deck mode" and "collection mode" would be a welcome addition.

TBH I am playing Hearthstone right now just cuz I want to upgrade my Plat3 to diamond1.
A visual indicator like that would do wonders. I know you have the elo numbers going on, but just looking at your number does not give you any idea how good you are doing without also checking the leaderboards.
Also, game crashes and desync kills ranked pretty hard, so focus on that stuff first. (obviously)

I have tried every class several times and it feels like priest has the least amount of luck involved with their draft. My choice in draft is priest>mage/druid>shaman>ragequit. Everything else seems to suck, or maybe I am drafting them wrong.

Ysera is a good pick, very nice to have that card. 5 mind control seems a bit top heavy, but as long as you have the strong early game and (hopefully) 2 nova you should do very well. The most important thing is making it to late game, once you can steal cards and heal 2 every turn you just auto win.

On a side note, maintenance sucks. I think they still give BOTH players a LOSS, which just seems silly.

I suggest going for priest. I got lucky and drafted a strong early game deck with 2 holy nova and 4 mind control. Mind control is very OP, just watch out for is spell bender and counter spell from mage.

After that run I drafted another priest with 0 mind control and 0 nova, go figure.

Just earned my first grand master arena key and I have to say it felt amazing.

I used to play genesis but I usually got crashes or desync using that card. =/
Might be fixed now though, time to make a new deck.

Just wondering.. I'm a bit disappointed because I had imagined something that looked good.

Yup, me too.

I would not be a huge fan of this myself, but before you all post your dislikes about this just consider it an opt-in game mode just like merged.

Suggestions / Re: Revealing cards when searching
« on: September 06, 2013, 08:43:33 AM »
I sorta agree. I feel like cards such as cartographer should not show, but cards like Varyus should be shown.
It is not a big deal currently, like Hitori said you are getting the advantage of searching for a specific card at the cost of your opponent knowing.

The same thing happens with word of command in merged. Moves opponent's creature to YOUR zone, only if it is your card originally.
